Krol guided Bucs to a treble in the last campaign, with the MTN8 being the first of the trophies the team annexed under his guidance.
Despite this notable success, the Dutchman was shown the exit door and had gone to ground in the past few weeks.
However, KickOff.com tracked him down on Friday morning to get his views on the current Pirates team under Julio Cesar Leal, the MTN8 Final and Krol believes Bucs are on course to defend their title.
"I'm confident that Pirates are going to win," he says.
"The good thing is that nothing has changed about this team, because they have built on last season so there is nothing new.
"I left a confident team that won a treble and that is the reason I say they are going to win tomorrow," Krol adds.
