Stekelenberg confident of beating Chiefs

One of the mid-week League highlights will be Ajax Cape Town hosting Kaizer Chiefs on Wednesday at Cape Town Stadium.

Ajax coach Maarten Stekelenberg is confident ahead of the clash; this after the Amakhosi lost 1-0 to Pirates in the MTN8 Final on Saturday.

"Playing Chiefs is always fantastic and the team we have is looking good ahead of the game. Our players are ready and fit. Chiefs' players are likely to be tired after the weekend and also they will have to play two tough games in a week (against Pirates again at the weekend). That could work as an advantage for us," he tells KickOff.com.

However Ajax will be without Granwald Scott and Brent Carelse, who both picked up injuries during friendly games recently.

"I heard reports that there was a crisis with our players, who are injured, but there isn't any crisis, we have a bench that is strong enough and I feel confident that we can beat Chiefs. We need to be more aggressive on the field of play," says Stekelenberg.
