Mamelodi Sundowns will miss the services of Punch Masenamela when they take on Bloemfontein Celtic in a Premiership clash at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Tuesday.
The fullback was given his marching orders in the goalless draw against Orlando Pirates on Saturday night, and will miss Downs' next two fixtures.
His absence could make the difference in a match Celtic need to win to get their season back on track.
The Bloemfontein side are desperate for a victory as they have failed to register a win in their last four games, while Downs are itching to get their title challenge on firm footing.
"Punch is one of the team's key players. But I think his absence won't make much of a difference as we have equally talented players in his position," Hlompho Kekana tells KickOff.com. "I believe whoever takes his place will do a good job for the club on the night"
The former Celtic man says he is looking forward to the match against his previous employers. It will be the first time Kekana has come up against his ex-teammates since joining Sundowns in the transfer window.
"I can't wait to play against Celtic. It is going to be a big match as both sides will fight hard for the three points at stake," he says.
"They are playing well but we are prepared for them. Although it is not going to be a stroll in the park, our plan is to collect all the points.
"If our performance on Saturday against Pirates is anything to go by, I believe we can beat Celtic. We will take full advantage of the home turf as we want to start winning games and make a strong challenge for the League championship."
