Orlando Pirates speed merchant Tlou Segolela is unlikely to play in Saturday night's League match against Mamelodi Sundowns.
The club has taken a decision to get to the bottom of his knee injury instead of risking him.
Segolela has battled with his knee since last month, and was forced to withdraw from the Bafana Bafana squad that played Niger.
He was thrown back into the Bucs fray after some rest, and played in the MTN8 Final before being rested again for the Santos game.
'Sox' was back on for the Soweto Derby last weekend but had a disastrous game, which has left the Bucs technical team with no option but to send him for intensive medical attention.
He was not at training on Wednesday.
"His knee is still swelling," Julio Leal says. "And we have sent him to our doctor who has in turn sent him to a specialist.
"We prefer to take this decision rather than risking him by continuing to have him at training. He will now most probably not be available for the weekend game."
