Eto'o to struggling Inter?

Could Samuel Eto'o be heading back to Inter Milan in a stunning loan deal?
The football world was shocked when the great African striker left the Nerazzurri in a big-money deal for Russian upstarts Anzhi Makhachkala during the last transfer window.
In his absence, Inter have struggled to replicate the form that made them Italian and European champions two seasons ago.
Now it has emerged that Eto'o could be back to boost his former club for short, sharp loan stint.
The Russian league is on a break during the icy months of January and February, and Cameroon failed to qualify for next year's African Cup of Nations, which means Eto'o will be a free agent.
The Gazzetta dello Sport claims Eto'o has contacted Inter to raise the idea of his brief return. The club still has one non-European Union player space available, and they would dearly love to have him back.
Theoretically, Eto'o could be available to play in nine Serie A games and a Champions League tie.
If the words of former Inter striker Alessandro Altobelli are anything to go by, the club will jump  at the chance to get Eto'o back.
"Eto'o is one of the strongest players in the world," he told the Corriere dello Sport. "He can't be replaced.
"His exit is a problem for Inter because Eto'o, especially last season, covered up their problems with his goals. Without him those difficulties have surfaced. Someone like him made a difference in Italy."
