Leal is concerned about his side's inability to score goals

The reigning PSL champions have only scored six goals in six matches so far, conceding four in the process, and were held to a goalless draw by a 10-man Mamelodi Sundowns at home on Saturday night.

Leal says injuries and suspensions to his key players is the reason they are struggling to find the back of the net.

"Our approach is always offensive, we have scored in most of our games in the beginning of the season," he says.

"But since we started changing players due to injuries, yellow cards and red cards we had problems and we are not scoring.

"I always think offensive approach; I always think scoring more goals than the opponents. At a certain point in time the opportunities started to be created but the players were not finishing them.

"We tried to score goals but, for me especially, playing at home, scoring more goals than the opponents is very important. The players tried until the end and we were not able to do as we have done before," he says.

"The three starters, [Sameehg] Doutie, Benni [McCarthy] and [Rudolf] Bester, they haven't played consistently in the beginning of the season, probably they felt a little bit out of the rhythm of the game; and difficulties to get through opponent's defence."
