He might not be a flavour amongst the Chiefs fans now, but Bernard Parker sees a lot of Benni McCarthy in him.
Long before he landed at Naturena, Parker was anointed as the natural successor to McCarthy – the latter having build a reputable legacy for himself as one of the finest footballers to be produced by post-apartheid South Africa.
On Saturday afternoon, Parker will be clad in wearing gold and black while his childhood hero, McCarthy will be leading the front line for the rivals, Pirates.
